Aujourd'hui, on repart en Sicile, toujours à Taormina, mais cette fois-ci je vous propose une visite virtuelle du théâtre antique.

Today we go back to Sicily in Taormina still, but this time I offer you a virtual tour of the ancient theater.

Le théâtre antique est vraiment à voir, c'est une très belle ruine, bien conservée et le panorama qu'offre le théâtre est magnifique, on y voit la mer et l'Etna le tout avec un magnifique contraste entre le rouge de la brique et le bleu de la mer. Ce théâtre gréco-romain était l'un des plus important du monde antique, et parait-il que l’acoustique y est parfaite. Pendant qu'on y était on a vu pas mal de concerts programmés au théâtre, ça doit être une super expérience un concert dans ce cadre, une prochaine fois j'espère.

The ancient theater is really worth seeing, it is a beautiful ruin, well maintained and the panorama of the theater is beautiful, you can see the sea and Mount Etna all with a wonderful contrast between the red brick and the blue of the sea. This Greco-Roman theater was one of the largest in the ancient world, and it seems that the acoustics are perfect. While we were there we saw a lot of concerts scheduled at the theater, it must be a great experience a concert in this context, next time I hope.
